Last week was great meeting with parents and discussing student learning. I learnt a lot from it and have already made changes to my daily-practices. I will do my best to keep it up!
Here is a brief summary of what to look forward to this week!
Gr. 6 Science - We will dig in more into the Sun; in particular equinox/solstices. We will likely have a small quiz on Thursday in review of what we have covered so far.
Gr. 6 Math - First, we will review our Net Worth Projects and discuss descriptions used for graphs. The rest of the week will be practice for making and analyzing graphs. Friday will be the Unit Test.
Gr. 7 Science - This week will continue with discussing Ecological Footprint, The 3-R's, and Alternative Energy. Students will be digging deeper into Alternative energy with a research project.
Gr. 7 Math - This will be our last week with Probability. Friday will be the Unit Test. So before Friday, we will be reviewing last week's labs, practicing tree diagrams, and calculating both Theoretical and Experimental Probability.
Gr. 8 Life Skills - This week we will be beginning a new unit of drugs. The main focus will be smoking, vaping, and Tabaco use.
