Here is this week's brief plan:
Math 6 - This week we will be getting in more time interpreting and drawing line graphs.
Science 6 - We will be wrapping up our Trees and Forests with a Unit Test on Thursday. The week will make up mostly of review of everything we have covered.
Math 7 - We will continue practicing Probability, we will finish the week with a quiz.
Science 7 - This week will focus on the following key topics:
- Reduce/Reuse/Recycle
- Waste Management and Landfills
- Our Ecological Footprint
Life Skills 8 - As this week is both anti-bullying week and Remembrance Day, I have planned to watch the movie The Imitation Game. It follows the life of Alan Turing during the time when he cracked the German's Enigma machine. Alan Turing is responsible for pioneering both AI and computers and unfortunately has only been celebrated posthumously. Turing was bullied in school for his Asperger's like behavior. He was also convicted of indecency during a time when it was illegal to be homosexual. There are many heavy questions to be asked for this film and I look forward to see how the students react.
