Here is the plan:
Gr. 6 Math: I am introducing a new "Math Fact Mondays" where students will get more time to practice their multiplication/division skills. Based on my observations from this year, students who struggle with their math facts, are often unable to fully grasp the new concepts that build upon that knowledge. Monday will have a "quiz" format, but students can use Number Charts if needed.
The rest of the week will involve practicing converting mixed numbers and improper fractions. There will be a quiz on Friday to check that everyone is comfortable with these conversions.

Gr. 6 Science: Students will continue working on their planet projects, while also learning about each planet in our solar system.
Gr. 7 Math: This week, we will continue to use Divisibility Rules to find out if a number is divisible, find factors, and simplify fractions. Friday will involve a quiz to check that these skills are grasped.
Gr. 7 Science: We will finally be finishing our Ecosystems and Interactions unit with the unit test on Tuesday. On Monday, we will review the whole unit and discuss the many parts that will be on the test. Tuesday will be the big day. The test will be open-book and will be available only for the 90minute block. If students need to research every question, they will run out of time. If this happens, please let me know and we can sort something out.
Gr. 8 Life Skills: This week will dive into the world of under-aged drinking and the impacts that alcoholism has on an individual and the people around them.
Stay healthy my friends,
Mr.Moir
