There is no school THURSDAY and FRIDAY due to Teacher's Convention and MONDAY for Family Day.
Gr.6 Math: We will continue exploring reflections and translations. Things will be getting a bit more complicated with diagonal reflections and combined transformations.
Gr.6 Science: We are starting our Air and Aero Unit! I am excited for this one as there is a lot more hands-on learning and experiments.
Gr.7 Math: We will continue exploring reflections and translations. Things will be getting a bit more complicated with diagonal reflections and combined transformations.
Gr.7 Science: We are also starting a new unit on Heat and Temperature. Plants are great and all, but I am happy to leave them in my salads for now. This unit will have more experiments, some great introductions to physics and chemistry, and hopefully some fun too.
Gr.8 Life Skills: This week, we will continue on sharing our Healthy Relationship projects. Whenever possible, I want to bring in more information about Black History Month. I had the opportunity to learn about this when I went to junior high in Halifax. It is always empowering to learn more perspectives of the past and develop greater empathy.
