Math 7-13: Today, I will take in the reflections assignment. Next, we will try a Math Contest sheet. A handful of students were selected to compete in the competition, but I wanted everyone to see what it's all about!
Science 7-13: We will be starting a fun research assignment on famous scientist who studied Heat and Temperature. Unfortunately, it was a challenge to find scientists who were female or from other minority groups, so I hope students can help me find more!
Life Skills 8-31: Due events at Tom Baines and from general observations in my classes, I think it is a great opportunity to discuss microaggressions and how our comments may be hinting at oppressive beliefs. Today and tomorrow, we will discuss different sayings that students may have heard based on their religion, sex, race, or sexual orientation. It is my hope that by bringing the comments to light, we can gain empathy to those around us.
Math 6-4: Today, I will take in the reflections assignment. Next, we will try a Math Contest sheet. A handful of students were selected to compete in the competition, but I wanted everyone to see what it's all about!
Science 6-4: We will be reviewing what the three types of variables are while studying the properties of air. I will do an air demo and students will explore how much air-pressure is on us all the time.
SMath 6-6: See above.
Stay healthy my friends,
Mr.Moir
